Breakout Groups Demo:

Accessing Breakout Groups:

Breakout group can be toggled on/off via API. The toggle is set to true by default. If you want to disable the breakout group, please make sure “enableBreakoutGroup” is set to false for the class. 

Given the Breakout group is enabled on the API level, all the teachers in the class will have the access to breakout group located at the right of the bottom toolbar.

Formation of Breakout Group:
  1. Breakout groups will be automatically assigned based on the total number of groups the teacher sets and can be manually adjust by the teacher through dragging the students’ name tag.
  2. Each group will consist of a maximum of 20 participants, including teachers and students.
  3. If the recording is on for the class, each group will be recorded automatically and saved as its own recording files.

 

Teacher's Rights in Breakout Group:
  1. Teachers have the ability to:
    1. Monitor and join any breakout group at any time
    2. Add/Delete empty breakout group
    3. Adjust students across groups
    4. Broadcast announcements or messages to all breakout groups in Class Chat
    5. Enable/disable student’s microphone, camera, chat access when in groups
    6. End breakout sessions and bring all participants back to the main session

 

Student's Rights in Breakout Group:
  1. Participants can:
    1. Interact with fellow group members through audio, video, whiteboard, and group chat
    2. Share their screens
    3. Request assistance from the teacher if needed by raising hand
