Does your audio cut out during class? Read this article for tips on how to set up your preferred audio device for a seamless in-class experience.
Setting Up Your Audio Device Before Class
To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted audio experience during your HiLink class, follow these steps before joining your session:
Step 1: Connect to Your Audio Device
Before launching the HiLink classroom, make sure your preferred audio device (headphones, microphone, or external speakers) is properly connected to your computer or tablet.
Step 2: Join the Classroom
Once your audio device is plugged in, join the HiLink classroom and select your preferred audio device in setup. This ensures that the system detects and sets up your selected audio device correctly before class starts.
Step 3: Avoid Switching Audio Devices During Class
In its current version, users must select the audio device they would like to use in class before entering class. If they choose to switch audio devices after entering the classroom, the HiLink system does not recognize the update and will not make the switch to the new device.
Step 4: Updating Your Audio Device (If Needed)
If you need to switch to a different audio device after entering the classroom, you will need to walk through the following steps:
1. Exit the classroom
2. Reenter the classroom
3. Select your preferred audio device in the device setup page
4. Click "Confirm" to enter the classroom
